Twelve-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic will miss the rest of the tennis season as he tries to recover from an elbow injury that forced him to retire from his Wimbledon quarter final.

His absence from next month鈥檚 US Open means he will miss a Grand Slam for the first time since making his debut in 2005.

Former Wimbledon champion and 蜜芽传媒 tennis pundit Pat Cash says Djokovic 鈥渉as lost major qualities鈥� in terms of fitness and flexibility, and 鈥渋t may take a while for him to get back intensity and match practice鈥�.
