The fight for gay rights: ‘My generation wants to thank you’
Terence was 26 when being gay was decriminalised in 1967. Fifty years later, Mark – who is in his twenties - has a message for Terence and his generation of gay men.
Speaking on 5 live Breakfast, Mark said: “I wanted to thank you more than anything on behalf of my generation and people who are younger than me may take it for granted the freedoms and acceptance we get.â€
Terence thanked Mark “for letting us know that what we have done you appreciate.â€
