Vickery: Very, very hard for Coutinho to turn down Barcelona
South American football expert Tim Vickery believes Liverpool’s Phillipe Coutinho would find it “very, very hard to turn down” a move to Barcelona.
The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with the Catalan club as a replacement for Neymar should he leave for Paris Saint-Germain.
Vickery suggests Barcelona’s affinity with hugely successful Brazilian players could be a factor in Coutinho’s decision-making process.
Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Ronaldo all won the Ballon d’Or whilst playing at the Nou Camp.
“So many of these Brazilians starred with Barcelona. There will be a fair few Liverpool fans sweating on Neymar’s decision”, he added.
