How will the Queen cope with a retired husband?
The Queen will not be the first woman to have to adjust when her husband retires and suddenly spends more time at home.
Lady Howard is married to Lord Howard who stood down as Conservative MP for Folkestone and Hythe at the 2010 election.
She told Radio 4's PM that she prepared Michael for retirement by advising him to find "as much to do as he possibly could".
Lady Howard added that she was keen for her husband "to find things to do which took him out" as "he takes over the house rather".
