How predictable is evolution? And were humans destined to evolve?"

That's precisely what Professor Jonathan Losos has attempted to answer in his new book Improbable Destinies.

Professor Losos teaches evolutionary biology at Harvard University and says: "It turns out evolution is a lot more predictable and a lot more repeatable than we used to think and yet there are many things we call evolutionary singletons...that evolve only one time, without parallel."
