BITESIZE MATHS MIXING LACQUER 2.mov
A mechanic is asked to paint 2 car panels with a layer of lacquer. He needs to measure enough lacquer for two panels; knowing that roughly ½ a litre is enough for one panel. He must mix up the lacquer mix with 3 parts lacquer to 1 part hardener and then work out 25% of the total amount to then measure and add the right amount of thinner. He checks that he has the right amount before his boss shows him an alternative method of working this out by using a mixing stick.
