Ghostpoet, D.D Dumbo, and Josh Homme with Queens of the Stone Age

D.D Dumbo, Ghostpoet and Queens of the Stone Age chat to Lauren and perform live

It’s been a pretty epic few days, with the 6 Music lifts working over-time to get all our session guests, and gear, up to the Live Room.

Oliver Perry kicked off our week, with a menagerie of musical instruments, including bass clarinet, melodica and glockespiel. You might know him better as DD Dumbo but, as you’ll hear, he’s not entirely sure why he picked that moniker.

Ghostpoet joined us, following the release of his new album Dark Days + Canapes. It’s always good to catch up with Obaro and this time, we got into food, consumerism, and Leo Abrahams.

But let’s start things off with rock royalty. Here’s Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, chatting about Iggy Pop; sharing a "Jacuzzi" with Mark Ronson; evolving the Stone Age sound; and recording new album Villains in the same space used by Sinatra, Dino and more.
