Cordelia Fine is a professor of the history and philosophy of science at the University of Melbourne. She is the third shortlisted author of the Royal Society Insight Investment Science Book Prize. Her book "Testosterone Rex" explores the science behind gender. She talks to Gareth Mitchell about her argument that testosterone isn't necessarily the basis for masculinity and that there is so much more to gender than merely our biological sex.
