Kurdistan's first book cafe
Ravan Ja’afar Al-Taei has achieved her lifelong dream: to open a book shop and cafe where book lovers, especially young women, can read, study and relax. The cafe in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, currently has more than 4,000 books in stock, in Kurdish, Arabic and English and has plans to add works in Turkish and Persian to its shelves.
