Alps al-Hilli murders: French investigation 'total failure'
Two little girls, orphaned in a shooting in the French Alps five years ago, are now doing fine and well.
That is according to their uncle speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Surrey at his home in Chessington, Surrey.
The parents and grandmother of Zeena and Zainab al-Hilli were shot dead on a mountain road near Annecy, along with a French cyclist.
The killer has never been caught.
In an exclusive interview with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Surrey, their uncle Zaid has described the French investigation into the murders as a "total failure" and he wants a High Court judge to take over.
The French investigator Veronique Dizot has told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Surrey it was a complex case and that there has been no progress in solving it.
Mirror correspondent Tom Parry, who has written a book The Perfect Crime about it, says he believes the focus of the murder hunt is now on the French victim.
