French football journalist Julien Laurens believes France will win the 2018 World Cup in Russia, despite only managing a 0-0 draw with minnows Luxembourg in their last World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

"France will win the World Cup next summer. However, the other night in Toulouse was one of the worst fiascos in the history of French football," said Laurens.

And he added a word of warning for the younger players in Didier Deschamps' squad: "This team is still quite complacent and this is something that the younger generation needs to work on. Paul Pogba played in his armchair against the Netherlands.鈥�
