'Egypt's Jon Stewart' Bassem Youssef
Bassem Youssef is a former heart surgeon turned comedian whose satirical news TV show based on the cult American 'The Daily Show' hosted by Jon Stewart, attracted audiences of over 30 million each week in Egypt after the fall of President Mubarak in 2011. He explains why the world of arts and creativity is the biggest threat to authoritarian regimes everywhere who want to shut down debate. Youssef is the subject of a new documentary 'Tickling Giants' directed by Sara Taksler.
