The foreign secretary has refused to be drawn on the time scale of the Brexit transition period, saying he won't presuppose what the prime minister is to announce.

Boris Johnson went on to say the government was on track to deliver on the promises made to the electorate and that Brexit would mean "a renaissance" for the UK and the EU.
