Arthur: Pakistan is ready to stage World Cricket again
It's been an historic week in the world of cricket as Pakistan hosted their first high profile series since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore in 2009 which took the lives of innocent civilians and left many injured, including cricketers.
It consequently left Pakistan deprived of regular international cricket in the country. In the last few years, the PCB had made several attempts to convince teams to tour Pakistan, but was only able to convince Zimbabwe, Kenya and Afghanistan to tour.
The three match Twenty20 series between Pakistan and World XI took place this week, featuring 13 players from seven top cricket-playing nations.
Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur is hoping this would pave the way for more cricket to be played in Pakistan.
