Nobel Laureate Herta Müller on fact, fiction and the German Election
Herta Müller was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2009. Born in Romania but resident in Germany since 1987, her work is haunted by the violence, cruelty and terror she knew living under the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu. In a rare interview with World Update's Paul Henley, she discusses life, literature, the plight of refugees and her thoughts on the forthcoming German election.
