Why has Cambodia's acting opposition leader fled?
Mu Sochua was told that she was facing arrest, on the orders of Prime Minister Hun Sen, who has been in power since 1985. The country has elections scheduled for July 2018 but, with the leader of the opposition Kem Sokha in jail on treason charges, it seems unlikely that Hun Sen will face any real democratic challenge.
Mu Sochua, acting head of the opposition CNRP, spoke to Dan Damon from an undisclosed location in Thailand.
