Churchill's grandson and Mugabe
How has Britain's relationship with President Mugabe changed since WW1?
Conservative MP Sir Nicholas Soames – the grandson of Sir Winston Churchill – has just returned from Zimbabwe, following in the footsteps of his father who was the transitional governor there in 1979. Sir Nicholas was there for the commemorations of the centenary of the First World War and met with President Robert Mugabe.
Sir Nicholas recalled that Mugabe once told his father that he was a "good guerrilla leader and a good teacher but I don't know anything about government - and will you please help me".
