Christian Slater told 5 live's Sarah Brett that 鈥渢elevision is the new independent film market鈥� because writers are able to expand on the depth of their characters.

While discussing his role in the award winning TV series "Mr Robot", he said TV has "moved into a whole new territory" which has left him "blown away".
