How Sundays have changed
Once upon a time if you said 'Sunday', people in Britain might have thought: church, a long walk and a roast dinner. There was no shopping and very little entertainment. Not anymore. Church attendance has shrunk and retail therapy on Sundays is thriving. Arguably more than any other day of the week, Sunday has changed beyond all recognition. For the last ten years photographer Matt Writtle has been documenting how people spend their Sunday. He set out to discover what they are doing on the traditional day of rest.
