Why are more women dying from alcohol related illnesses?
New ONS figures show a sharp rise in the number of older women dying from alcohol related illnesses. Since 2001, there has been a 35% increase in the number of deaths of women aged between 60-64 from issues like liver disease or heart failure. Jane discusses the reasons why with Dr Philippa Kaye, a GP practising in London.
