Celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Elvis's death

For the 40th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death (16/08/17) Priscilla Presley has headed up commemorative events at Graceland.

This week at The King's former Memphis home, thousands of fans will be able to stay in the new Elvis hotel, visit his collection of his cars, motorcycles, clothing and records. There will be live music, a vigil and a birthday cake fit for a king.

Priscilla will also joining the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for the Elvis In Concert: Live On Stage Tour with songs from the albums If I can Dream and The Wonder of You.

The six date UK arena tour kicks off in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro on November 23rd, taking in Leeds First Direct Arena (24th), Newcastle First Direct Arena (25th), Birmingham Genting Arena (27th), Manchester Arena (28th), with the finale at London’s O2 Arena on November 30th. Where there is also the Elvis On Tour: The Exhibition which opens on November 3rd.

Elvis and Priscilla married in 1966 and split in 1973, four years before his death.
