
'I want to reassure people that you can get through it'
At the age of 11, Laura鈥檚 spinal cord was pierced during an operation, which left her paralysed from the chest down.
Laura now works as a course leader for Back Up - a national charity for people affected by spinal cord injuries.
鈥淪elf-confidence and self-belief can disappear,鈥 said the 23-year-old.
鈥淚 understand that difficulty and I want to reassure people that you can get through it. It also helps me a lot. Just being able to pass on my skills and think 鈥極h, I鈥檝e come a long way鈥 is quite a nice reflection.鈥
