At the age of 11, Laura鈥檚 spinal cord was pierced during an operation, which left her paralysed from the chest down.

Laura now works as a course leader for Back Up - a national charity for people affected by spinal cord injuries.

鈥淪elf-confidence and self-belief can disappear,鈥� said the 23-year-old.

鈥淚 understand that difficulty and I want to reassure people that you can get through it. It also helps me a lot. Just being able to pass on my skills and think 鈥極h, I鈥檝e come a long way鈥� is quite a nice reflection.鈥�
