Cancer research prize

We are celebrating the Institute of Cancer Research getting the Queens Anniversary Prize

When we talk about the fight against cancer we know there are two fronts - first the guts and determination of people who have it but go on trials of new drugs to try to beat it, but also the organisations that come up with those new drugs and new approaches.

We are celebrating today one of those organisations - the Institute of Cancer research is getting the Queens Anniversary Prize, the most prestigious award an academic institution can receive.

In this podcast we hear from Florence Wilks who has terminal cancer and Professor Paul Workman, chief executive of the Institute of Cancer Research.
