'Life is both painful and beautiful'
Gaelynn Lea is an American musician and disability rights activist.
She came to wider critical acclaim in 2016 after winning a National Public Radio competition over 6,000 entrants. Being born with osteogenesis imperfecta has uniquely shaped the way she sings and plays the violin.
In a wheelchair since the age of 2 she has battled to get equal access especially as a full time touring musician. She spoke to Nicola Stanbridge at the start of her UK tour.
