Richard Whiteley, who for many years presented Countdown on Channel 4, died 12 years ago.

But in March this year, the actor Ricky Tomlinson accused the presenter of having been an MI5 operative who helped orchestrate a plot to have him jailed. Richard Whitely's former partner, Kathryn Apanowicz, described the claims as ridiculous.

So… PM asked the hosts of other famous quiz programmes if they were spies, starting with Paul Gambaccini from Radio 4’s Counterpoint.
