Thomas Cook resumes holidays to Tunisia
Package holidays from the UK to Tunisia ended following the June 2015 beach attack in Sousse, where 38 people were killed - most of them Britons.
After Foreign Office guidance to make only essential visits to the North African country was withdrawn last year, Thomas Cook resumed holiday sales to UK customers last August and the first flight leaves Birmingham today.
The company did not stop selling trips to French, German and Belgian holidaymakers after the Sousse attack as there was no government recommendation from those countries for their citizens to stop going there.
