Despite the difficulties in knowing exact numbers, it鈥檚 believed rough-sleeping is on the rise in the UK. Throughout history there have been homeless people but they rarely feature in our history books. Helen Castor talks to Professor Nicholas Crowson who researches homelessness from 1880 to ask how difficult is it to find out about the lives and experiences of homeless people in the past.
