Ugo Monye on making top referees TMOs
Ugo Monye thinks top refrees would be more useful as TMOs than as assistants.
It was a controversial weekend in the Six Nations, as TMO Glenn Newman ruled England's Anthony Watson had beaten Wales' Gareth Anscombe to the ball to rule out what could have been a crucial try.
Monye questioned why top officials, such as Nigel Owens, are being used as assistant referees rather than as TMOs.
"They don't get many decisions wrong - well stick them in the truck then," said Monye.
