Florida shooting: 'I'm not a police officer' says teacher
A teacher who hid her pupils in a cupboard during the shooting at a school in Florida has said a suggestion by the US President to arm some teachers could go ‘terribly wrong’.
Melissa Falkowski teaches at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida where 17 people were killed last week.
She told 5 live’s Sarah Brett:
“I went to school to teach kids…I didn’t go to school to become a police officer and to carry a gun in my classroom.â€
