After The Silent Child, a film about a 6-year-old deaf girl, won an Oscar, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live discusses what life is like for the 40,000 deaf children growing up in Britain.

Interpreted into British Sign Language by Dianne Thomas, the discussion includes young blogger Ellie Parfitt, who gives advice to those who don’t know how to approach her.

Plus caller Amy says she is frustrated that her ten-year-old daughter isn’t able to access the services she needs.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live Drive presenters were Tony Livesey and Sarah Brett.
