Ruth & Miriam - Preparing to cope
Ruth was born in Berlin in 1921, her Jewish faith put her family in great danger as war approached so her parents sent her to England as a refugee in 1937. She trained as nurse, married and had three children including Miriam.
Miriam works in Marketing and has a busy life with her job, friends and hobbies. Miriam describes mum Ruth is her best friend, they talk on the phone three times a day, she is her emotional support and with Ruth now 96, Miriam is very worried about how she'll cope after she's gone.
