
'We focus on serving black women across the globe'
Shea, Karite and cocoa butter are all beauty products associated with Africa. While a lot of recipes and techniques for making soaps and body lotions have been passed down for generations, Liberian-American entrepreneur Richelieu Dennis saw their commercial value and his company, Sundial Brands, places these products into mainstream retailers in America.
After 25 years, he has built a company worth $2bn (£1.45bn) and is now partnered with global giant Unilever. Together they are developing more products and unearthing female entrepreneurs in the lucrative beauty industry.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Lerato Mbele sat down with Mr Dennis to find out more.
