
Blacker Dread: 'I didn’t trust anybody with a camera'
Reggae producer Blacker Dread has described how he was suspicious of filmmaker Molly Dineen when he met her forty years ago.
He told 5 live’s Nihal Arthanayake he didn’t trust anyone with a camera at the time, but after he saw the documentary he realised it was a “a testament to what we were doing”.
Bafta-winning filmmaker Molly Dineen has been following the legendary Brixton producer, Blacker in a documentary which will be shown on ѿý 2 tonight, forty years after he featured in her first film when she was a student. 'Being Blacker' is shown on ѿý Two on 12 March at 9pm and after on the ѿý IPlayer.
