Chris Sutton says the Southampton board should be held responsible if the club are relegated from the Premier League.

Saints sacked manager Mauricio Pellegrino on Monday with the team just one point and one place above the relegation zone with eight games left this season.

Former Celtic striker Sutton believes Pellegrino should have been replaced 鈥渕onths ago鈥� and blames the board for their 鈥減oor planning鈥�.
