Matt Dawson says "as an Englishman" he is "embarrassed" by controversial comments made by England head coach Eddie Jones.

Speaking at a sponsors' talk in July 2017, the Australian described Wales as a "shit little place" and spoke about how disappointed he was by a recent defeat by the "scummy Irish".

Jones, 58, has "apologised unreservedly", but former England captain Dawson believes his remarks may give Ireland the edge for their Six Nations clash at Twickenham on Saturday.
