Chelsea fan: FA Cup semis should be held 'on neutral ground'

Chelsea fan Nigel says that the FA Cup semi-finals should revert to the pre-Wembley rebuild tradition, and be held away from the national stadium.

His comments come after Tottenham - who are currently playing home fixtures at Wembley while their stadium is rebuilt - qualified for the last-four of the competition.

Nigel bemoaned: “Why can’t the Manchester United v Tottenham game be played at the Emirates? It’s the biggest ground outside of Wembley and the semi-finals have always been played on neutral ground.â€

The FA Cup semi-finals have been played at Wembley since 2008 - a decision taken by the Football Association to offset the cost of building the stadium.
