The surprising bird thriving in gardens
We’re spending more and more time and money attracting birds to our gardens. The results of the Big Garden Birdwatch, an annual survey of more than 420,000 people carried out by the RSPB, revealed that goldfinch numbers are going up, but blackbirds and robins in the garden are down. In 2017 there was a boom in the sale of bird food. Winifred Robinson talks to Jamie Wyver, from the RSPB.
