Gender pay: 'Firms want to close the gap'
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Office minister Baroness Williams says companies are trying to have a "more gender equal workforce", ahead of a deadline to publish the gap in pay between their male and female staff.
She told the Today programme there was pressure from "society but also from within those organisations themselves" to close the gender pay gap.
All UK organisations with more than 250 workers must publish the average median salaries of men and women by the end of Wednesday.
