Lukaku has had ‘phenomenal’ first season at Manchester United - Cole
Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole says Romelu Lukaku has had a ‘phenomenal’ first season at the club.
Speaking with Darren Fletcher and Jermaine Jenas on 5 live’s Friday Football Social, Cole added: “It’s a difficult role playing one man up front in any Premier League team, but when it’s a team like the way Manchester United are playing this season, I take my hat off to him. He’s been phenomenal!
“£75 million, and his first season at Manchester United. He’s got over 25 goals. Come on, what more can you expect?â€
Lukaku has scored 26 goals for the club this season since his summer transfer from Everton, despite suffering some criticism after scoring just once in 12 games in October and November.
