To understand Germany you must understand her history and how it shapes German views of the future and of Europe. Perhaps no one has done more to improve that understanding than Neil MacGregor, the former director of the British Museum, who is now the director of the Humboldt Forum, a new cultural centre in the heart of Berlin. Nick Robinson asked him what living and working in the city has told him about the way Germany sees itself.
