Immigration and crime in Sweden - is there a link?
In 2016, Sweden took in more refugees per capita than any other nation. Around the same time, violent gang crime has gone up and in the last two years, over 50 hand grenades have been detonated.
As a result, the country has become the target of criticism from the right - Nigel Farage deemed Malmo the ‘rape capital’ of Europe.
So is Sweden the liberal utopia the left would have us believe or has an open-door immigration policy caused social tension? James Clayton reports.
