Mark Rylance asks: did Shakespeare write his own plays?

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet", so does it really matter whether Shakespeare's plays were written by him? That question has been the subject of controversy for centuries. This week Brunel University in England is inviting experts to discuss the authorship of the plays. One man who disagrees with the idea that all of Shakespeare's plays were written exclusively by him is the Oscar-winning actor Sir Mark Rylance. In 2007 he launched the Shakespearean Authorship Trust to encourage more research into the issue. He spoke to Dan Damon.
