Singer Matt Cardle has said he hopes Ant McPartlin has time to recover when he gets out of rehab.

The X Factor winner, who spent time at the Priory because of his own addiction to prescription drugs told 5 live鈥檚 Nihal Arthanayake he understood what the TV presenter was going through.

McPartlin first checked into rehab in 2017 for an addiction to painkillers and recently returned following an arrest for drink driving.
