Twitter users have been criticising Kanye West using #IfSlaveryWasAChoice. It's after he suggested to US entertainment site TMZ that the enslavement of African Americans may have been a "choice".

Kanye later tweeted to clarify his comments saying: "To make clear. Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will."

Some people have used the hashtag to tell Kanye to revisit the history books.
