Middle-aged renter: "I fear for the future"
Forty-somethings are now almost twice as likely to be renting from a private landlord than they were 10 years ago.
Alison, who is 48, rents a house in London. She told 5 live Breakfast "she worries constantly" about her housing situation, which has meant that her two teenage children have to share a bedroom.
Speaking to 5 live's Rachel Burden, Alison said: "I fear for the future and I fear for future generations as well."
