An investigation by this programme has forced the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Office to radically rethink the guidance it has offered to many of those studying in this country.

Newsnight has come across case after case of people who were being incorrectly denied education - from English language courses - to A levels - even degrees - after the government's hostile environment policy effectively barred asylum seekers from attending courses or exams.
