Victims of serious crime face arrest
More than half of UK police forces are handing over victims of crime to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Office for immigration enforcement, new figures show.
One woman who was beaten by her partner was then herself arrested by police.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Office said it would support vulnerable migrants "regardless of their immigration status".
