‘You lose contact with your reality when you’re on the road too much’
Biffy Clyro singer Simon Neil talks about how exhausting life on tour can be.
Speaking to 5 live Afternoon Edition’s Nihal Arthanayake, Neil said: “You lose contact with your reality, I think, when you’re on the road too much. It’s so addictive playing shows, and the adrenaline buzz and being out there and travelling.
“I guess what happens to most bands is you don’t realise when your body’s had enough… The band is important, but I think we would all absolutely hate it if the band ever caused us to fall out in that regards.
“The band, for health reasons, now comes slightly behind us as people,” he said.
