The Trans-Mountain link between Alberta and British Columbia has faced strong opposition

The Trans-Mountain pipeline between the tar-sands of Alberta and the Pacific Coast of British Columbia would carry almost 900,0000 barrels of oil a day. But it has faced strong opposition. We hear the views of an environmental policy expert, the Union of British Colombia India Chiefs and the provincial government of Alberta. Elsewhere, it's looking increasingly likely that Italians are going to have to face another general election. That would raise major economic questions, including the country's membership of the eurozone. Milan's main stock market was down by 3.7 per cent on Tuesday.
