Reading FC: McShane hoping for better summer preparation
Paul McShane thinks a disjointed summer last year contributed to the poor season.
After play-off final defeat at the end of last year, McShane thinks the squad were already on the back foot going into the 2017-18 season.
鈥淭he last summer was quite difficult,鈥 McShane told 蜜芽传媒 Radio Berkshire鈥檚 Tim Dellor. 鈥淧eople got a bit drained I think.
鈥淲e started the season OK, performances were decent, but we weren鈥檛 getting the results.
鈥淚 think that was a big blow to people鈥檚 mentalities.鈥
And McShane is hoping players with the right 鈥榤entality鈥 come into the club during the transfer window.
鈥淚t鈥檚 about bringing in the right characters for the team, bringing in winners, people with hunger.
鈥淚 think that鈥檚 more than half the battle.鈥
